3D Environment Artist

We value artistic vision, technical know-how, previous experience, teamwork skills and lots of passion.

We look for talented 3d Environment Artist / Modeler looking for highly creative projects.

Minimum requirements

  • Strong portfolio showing modeling, texturing, and set dressing environments for games, including at least:
    • Examples of high and low resolution modeling, both organic and inorganic
    • Examples of full set design
    • Texture/mapping work examples
  • Exceptional visual and technical skills in 3D modeling, sculpting & texturing.
  • Have three or more years of industry experience within a recognised game engine (UE4, Unity or in-house solution such as frostbite), preferably Unreal Engine.
  • 1+ published titles: Game production can be long and/or complex. However, having at least one published games can show that you are familiar with the full development process and the challenges that are ahead.
  • Proficient in Maya, 3D Max, ZBrush and Substance Painter.
  • English and/or Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Art Director to develop high quality 3d models.
  • Create high & low resolution models and textures for real-time 3D games for consoles and PC.
  • Collaborate with programmers, designers and animators to develop production pipelines.
  • Understanding of next-gen game asset development processes, limitations and workarounds.

Level Designer

We look for people able to blend game design with artistic vision and creativity to craft complex, creative levels out of very basic ideas. We require previous experience, teamwork skills and lots of passion.

Minimum requirements

  • Videos / Documentation showing your skills at designing well thought environments that takes profit of game design to create engaging and memorable gameplay sequences.
  • Exceptional visual and technical skills in game and level design.
  • Have three or more years of industry experience within a recognised game engine (UE4, Unity or in-house solution such as frostbite), preferably Unreal Engine.
  • 1+ published titles: Game production can be long and/or complex. However, having at least one published games can show that you are familiar with the full development process and the challenges that are ahead.
  • English and/or Spanish proficiency.

  • Work closely with the Game Designer and the Art Director to develop high quality 3d levels with creative gameplay sequences and striking visuals.

Animator

We look for animators that can flawlessly animate both human and animal characters both for gameplay and cinematics.

Rigging and cinematic camera work skills are a big plus!

  • Portfolio / Reel showing your animation/rigging/camera skills in professional projects.
  • Exceptional creative and technical skills in cinematic and gameplay animation.

Programmer

  • Being able to speak to creatives and designers in their own languaje, understand their needs and apply your programming skills to fullfill those needs.

  • 1+ published titles: Game production can be long and/or complex. However, having at least one published games can show that you are familiar with the full development process and the challenges that are ahead.

Technical Artist

We are an idea-first company and Technical Artists are key into making them real, be it through complex shader work, the development of tools or advanced visual tricks.

You’re that kind of person that suddenly needs to recreate the look of a fluid fog system? You love to analyze and replicate how a character leaves a realistic trail in the snow? How to make trees grow in a spectacular way? At Piccolo you’ll spend your time creating magic.

  • Being able to speak to creatives and designers in their own languaje, understand their needs and apply your shader/programming skills to fullfill those needs.
